Connecticut Severe Weather Disaster Event

Recently residents of Connecticut were impacted by rains and severe weather.

For our policyowners:

Effective immediately, the following actions are applicable until October 21, 2024 for all affected policyowners in these Connecticut counties, Fairfield, New Haven and Litchfield, and any other counties that subsequently declare an emergency due to this severe weather event in Connecticut:

  • Extensions on payment of premium. Policyowners in Connecticut may defer premium payments that come due, interest free, until October 21, 2024. Any cancellation or lapse notices you receive may be ignored if the lapse or cancellation date is prior to October 21, 2024. Premium should be paid by October 21, 2024.

  • Extensions on other time limits. Illinois Mutual is extending the time periods for taking other actions that have time limits, such as the submission of a claim, proof of loss or other information, up to and including October 21, 2024.

  • Affected policyowners are invited to call (800) 380-6688 with any questions or concerns.

Effective immediately, the following actions are applicable until November 26, 2024 for all affected policyowners in Alachua, Baker, Bay, Bradford, Brevard, Calhoun, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, DeSoto, Dixie, Duval, Escambia, Flagler, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Glades, Gulf, Hamilton, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Leon, Levy, Liberty, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Monroe, Nassau, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor, Union, Volusia, Wakulla, Walton and Washington counties, and any other counties that subsequently declare an emergency due to Hurricane Helene in Florida:
